I think I had the most fun teaching shotgun. It was during one of our Troop events, while we were waiting for the other side of a two-station range to shoot, that I prepped my Scout to shoot at the other Scout's target... but only if that other Scout missed. As luck would have it, that other Scout missed his clay and then my Scout smoked it. While everyone on the range was looking at us in disbelief, I announced, "The game is called Annie Oakley!"
We emphasized for our Scouts, the right Knowlege, Skills, and Attitude for the following discipline areas; Archery, BB Gun, Home Firearm Safety, Rifle, Shotgun, Muzzleloader, Pistol, and Tomahawk. Scouting is "fun with a purpose" where we teach our youth skills for life, including leadership.
